Doreen E. Stagliano (nee Nice), of Warminster, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 26, 2019. She was 56 years old. Doreen was the loving wife of Mark Stagliano with whom she shared 31 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of Robert and Jean (nee Bilan) Nice.
Doreen loved so many things – she loved music, particularly rock music and, much to her children’s chagrin, had a newfound love for country music. Her favorite music of all was that played by her husband Mark on guitar, as it has been since they first met in 1981. She and Mark had been doing a lot of traveling together recently, and their trip to the music capital, Nashville, Tennessee, was by far their favorite.
For her entire short but full life, she was a light of love and laughter for all. She loved getting together with friends old and new, she loved reminiscing, and she loved entertaining friends and family in her home. She loved traditions and the holidays – especially preparing Thanksgiving dinner every year for her family – and she never forgot a birthday.
She was an enormous animal lover, especially of their dog Penny who passed away early this year. There are so many more things that she loved, but most of all, she loved her husband, daughter, and son. She loved sitting outside with Mark and watching the birds, she loved decorating her home for every holiday (even Valentine’s Day), and she loved when her kids came home on Sunday for her home-cooked dinners. She loved long days out shopping with her family; she wouldn’t buy herself a thing but would buy her kids one hundred things if it meant she was taking care of them and making them happy. She gave the best advice, hurt when her children hurt, got excited and gave endless support and encouragement when her children wanted to pursue something new, and selflessly put everyone before her, often at the expense of her own happiness. She will be painfully missed by all.
In addition to her husband and parents, Doreen is survived by her children, Erica Stagliano and Nicholas Stagliano; her siblings, Robert Nice III (Beth) and Donna Carrieri (Frank); her mother-in-law, Loretta Burrows (Donald); her brother-in-law, Michael Stagliano (Gwen); and many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father-in-law, Anthony Stagliano (the surviving Roberta) and her brother-in-law, Christian Stagliano.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday, November 2, 2019 after 9:00 am until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 am in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Rd, Hatboro. Her interment will be held privately.
