George C. Schlegel of Hatboro passed away on November 23, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Carol A. Schlegel with whom he had shared over 51 years of marriage. George was born in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late George and Lillian Schlegel.
George will be remembered for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. A kind and loyal man, he cherished his relationships with friends and family. He was known to offer all that he had; opening his home as a place to rest, a meal to share, or a compassionate ear for someone in need. And for his grandchildren, there was no greater fan on the sidelines. So, from the days of working in his dad’s garage to his passion for pinball, motorcycles and cars, through to experiencing new adventures with his grandchildren, George lived a full life.
In addition to his wife, George is survived by his daughter, Dawn Cerminaro and her husband Craig, four grandchildren; Cole, Gianna, Caden, and Christian, two sisters; Flora Shelly and Georgann Chomentowski, and a large, loving extended family.
Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Monday, December 2nd, 2019, after 10am in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Rd, Hatboro, followed by his Funeral Service at 11am. His interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn. In lieu of flowers, memorials in George’s memory may be made to Last Chance Ranch Animal Rescue, Quakertown, PA.
