James Kane Obituary

James R. Kane ("Jim") of Hatboro, PA passed away on October 12, 2019 at the age of 76. He was the beloved husband of Sally Kane (nee Corcoran) with whom he shared over 51 years of marriage. Jim was born in Philadelphia, PA the youngest son of the late John and Catherine Kane. Jim was a proud Marine, having been a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was employed by the City of Philadelphia at Philadelphia International Airport as an HVAC mechanic until his retirement in 2008. Jim recently celebrated 48 years of sobriety with AA where he had been a tireless supporter of others in their journeys.

In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by three children; Melissa Baker, James Kane Jr. (Jeanmarie), Eileen Marcus (David), and six grandchildren: David, Becky, Tyler, Aidan, Izzy and Evelyn. He is also survived by two sisters, Marcy Mann and Lori Gladnick as well as his large and loving family that includes numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by seven of his brothers and sisters: Marie, Theresa, Frances, Veronica, Ann, John, and Martin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewings, funeral and interment. The first viewing will be Sunday evening, October 20th, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Schneider Funeral Home, 431N. York Road, Hatboro, PA. A second viewing will be held on Monday, October 21st, 10:00 am at St. John Bosco Church, 215 E. County Line Road, Hatboro, PA, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Jim's interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
