Lore Kostick Obituary

Lore Schick-Kostick passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, July 31stat 7:00 PM. She was 95 years old. She is survived by her daughter Susan McGee (James), and her son Ronald Kostick. She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She was born April 17th, 1924 in Heilbronn Germany. She had two brothers and one sister. She lived through the events of World War II, and moved to America at the age of 26 following the conclusion of the war. She settled down with her late husband Anthony T. Kostick in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Hatboro, PA shortly afterward. She learned English on her own through classes, watching television, and speaking with others. She was a member of The Vereinigung Erzgebirge in Warminster, Pa where she loved to sing and spend time with friends.

Lore was an avid gardener and loved flowers. She would often be found tending to her yard and garden when she was younger, as she loved to be outside. She was an open-minded, fun, loving, caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be deeply missed. She loved to travel and her favorite color was red. She was the matriarch of the family, and her optimistic, positive outlook brought joy to the lives of everyone she met.

As an ardent lover of flowers, bouquets can be sent to the funeral home, and friends and family are invited to gather on Monday, August 5th from 10:00am -11:00am at Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N York Road in Hatboro, Pa 19040 followed by a service at 11:00am. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park, followed by a luncheon at The Vereinigung Erzgebirge (The German Club), 130 Davisville Road, Warminster Pa18974.
