Carol Williams, of Hatboro, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. She was 76 years old. Carol was the beloved wife of John Franklin Williams, Sr., with whom she shared nearly 58 years of marriage. She was born in Ridley Park, PA, a daughter of the late Lloyd A. Smith and Ruth Scheckler, and is survived by Leona Smith.
Carol was an avid reader, volunteering for many years at the Hatboro Public Library. Additionally, she worked at the Hatboro stencil shop where she both taught stenciling and created custom pieces of art. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by three children, John F. Williams, Jr., and his wife, Donna, Mark A. Williams and his wife, Aimee, and Kristen L. Margraff and her husband, David,; five grandchildren, Patrick Williams and his wife, Morgan, Amanda Murwin, Matthew Williams, Jamie Margraff and Joshua Margraff; a sister, Nancy Damm, and a brother, Stephen “Chip” Scheckler.
Her family will receive relatives and friends on March 5th, 2019 after 10:00 a.m., followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro. Her interment will follow in Whitemarsh Cemetery. If desired, memorials in Carol’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 1617 JFK Boulevard, Suite 700, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
