Stephanie Minnar Obituary

Stephanie Lynn Minnar, known to loved ones as Lynn, of Levittown, PA passed away November 4, 2019, at Luther Woods Nursing Home in Hatboro, PA. She had just recently turned 66. Lynn was the beloved wife of John J Minnar Jr.

Lynn was born in Washington, DC, the daughter of the late Ray Hartwell Harris and Catherine Swartz. She was raised in Philadelphia, PA by Catherine and spent the majority of her weekends and summers in Chester Springs, PA and Cape May, NJ with her many extended relatives.

Lynn was the graduate of Olney High School in Philadelphia. She was the COBRA Coordinator at Brokerage/Benefits Concepts for 30 years before she retired due to health issues in 2016. She was a beloved grandmother or Mimi as she was lovingly called, who liked to spend her time watching her grandsons perform in their concerts, basketball games, or achieve new levels in karate. In earlier years, she loved to watch her daughters play softball and soccer. Her granddaughters continued this tradition for a few years, extending her love of the games. Lynn adored the Hallmark Channel and the Gilmore Girls and would often be heard quoting lines from the shows or telling her family the plot of the latest Christmas movie. Prior to her illness, she loved to read as many books as possible – romance novels being her favorite. She also spent many hours scrapbooking and taking a stab at quilting. She was also a lover of all animals, her dog Nalu and cat Stuffy especially. However, her infamous stuffed bear was her faithful companion during her long illness and treatments.

In addition to her husband, Lynn is survived by her daughter, Joyce Lynn Devine (Joseph) of Warminster, PA. She is predeceased by her daughter, Kimberly Anne of Hatfield, PA. Lynn was Mimi to Jackson and Justin of Warminster, Mom-Mom to Katlyne, Aaron, Kieran, and Morgan of Hatfield, PA. Lynn raised her brothers, Steven and Jeffrey after her mother’s passing at an early age. She has numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Relatives and friends will be received by her family on Friday, November 8, 2019 after 11:00 am until the time of her memorial service at 12:00 pm in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro. Her interment will be held privately.  There will be a luncheon to follow at Guiseppe’s Pizza & Family Restaurant located at 1380 Street Rd, Warminster, PA.
