Alan Eickhoff Obituary

Alan C. Eickhoff of Warminster, PA passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on May 7, 2025 at Holy Redeemer Hospital in Meadowbrook, PA. He was the beloved husband of Linda M. for 54 years. Alan was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 5, 1946, the first son of the late Oscar Eickhoff Jr and Marion Bryan Eickhoff.


A graduate of Abington High School, Pennsylvania State University, and Trenton State College, Alan was employed as a Social Studies teacher at Springfield Township High School Montgomery County for 44 years. He also worked for 38 years at Zieger and Sons Roses. Alan was inducted into Springfield's High School’s Hall of Fame in 2019. He was the Montgomery County IU/Freedom Credit Union grand prize winner of the Voices of Inspiration Award for Teaching Excellence in 2012.


An active member of the community, Alan belonged to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Scouts USA (Boy Scouts), the Antique Automobile Club of America, the National Chrysler Products Club and the International Brotherhood of Real Bearded Santas. He was the Scoutmaster of Troop 254 Hatboro, PA and received the Silver Beaver Award from the Cradle of Liberty Council. In 1999 he received Montgomery County’s Volunteer Award for exemplary community service. Alan received the Real People Award for 30 years of serving the community from Bucks County Seventh-Day Adventist Church in 2016. Alan served as a volunteer and on the leadership team of Hatboro Community Cupboard. He was proud of the many awards he earned at various car shows throughout the area with his fleet, including his 1948 Dodge.

In addition to his loving wife Linda, Alan is survived by his children, Becky and Jon Kummery of Quakertown, PA and Jeff and Ashley Eickhoff of Gilbertsville, PA and his four beloved grandchildren April and Evan Eickhoff and Sarah and Will Kummery. He was predeceased by brothers Roger, Jay and Gary Eickhoff.

Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service on June 14 th , 2025 at 1pm at St John’s Lutheran Church 505 N. York Rd. Hatboro, PA. Internment of ashes will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Alan’s memory may be made to the air conditioning fund at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 505 N York Rd. Hatboro, PA 19040.
