Alfred Casella of Hatboro, formerly from Philadelphia, passed away on July 11, 2022 at the age of 91.
Alfred was the son of Anthony and Marie Casella. He was the devoted husband of the late Antoinette Casella, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage. He is survived by his loving sweetheart of 33 years, Alicja Pyzel.
Alfred is also survived by his loving sons, Alfred Jr. (Patricia) and Anthony (Christine), along with 7 grandchildren; Dolores Keiper (Ed), Patty Ann Cichetti (Dan), Jean Marie Newell (Greg), Beth Ann Casella, Katey Fithian (Robert), Caroline Gramlich (Daniel), and Anthony J. Casella.
He also leaves behind 19 great-grandchildren; Sean, Julia, Kevin, Kyle, Juliana, Jenna, Samuel, Luke, Jack, Max, Miles, Ashton, Vivien, Robert, Juliette, Alexander, Mia, Daniel, and Leo. Alfred was predeceased by his 2 beloved sisters, Dolores Casella and Rose Hall.
Alfred was proud of the 36 years he was employed as a welder for the Budd Company, and enjoyed a long retirement. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, a prolific athlete and bowler, and a respected coach at Summerdale Boys Club for many years. He loved reading and doing crossword puzzles.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, July 16, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 North York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040 followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in Saint John Bosco Roman Catholic Church, 215 E. County Line Road, Hatboro, PA 19040. His Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
