Anthony Palombo of Hatboro went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 15 th at the age of 93. He was the beloved husband of Hazel Palombo, who passed away in 2018. They had shared 64 years of marriage. He was born in Abington, PA a son to the late Madeline (Grasso) and Angelo Palombo.
Anthony was loved and respected by those who knew him as he was warm, generous and helpful. His calm, kind, easy-going manner endeared him to many people, whether they be old friends or new acquaintances. Anthony was retired from Merck & Co. where he was employed as a research virologist for 30+ years. During his life, he liked working with his hands and home shop equipment to create helpful gadgets and solutions to many household problems. He also loved serving with Boys Brigade at Faith Community Church in Roslyn. Anthony enjoyed traveling with friends, especially camping in his RV across the United States. In recent years he enjoyed going out to meals with family and friends and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Anthony is survived by 3 children; Joan Marie Wambold and her husband Ray, Diane Boland and her husband Bob and Edward Palombo and his wife Karen, 7 Grandchildren; Nicole, Tina, Lisa, Kelly, Katie, Rob and Raymond, 9 Great Grandchildren, and a sister. In addition to his parents Anthony was predeceased by a daughter Linda Palombo.
Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Saturday, October 28th after ll:00 AM in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro and are invited to attend his Celebration of Life service at 12:00 PM Noon.
His interment will be private in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Feasterville.
Anthony faithfully spent many years caring for his wife who suffered with Alzheimer’s.
