Anthony “ Tony” Zimbardi of Quakertown formerly of Glenside passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022. He was 87 years old. Tony was the beloved husband of Martha Sands-Zimbardi with whom he had shared over 33 years of marriage. He was born in Philadelphia the youngest child of the late Rafael and Maria Zimbardi.
In addition to his wife Anthony is survived by his children; Anthony Zimbardi, Jr., Darlene Zimbardi and her husband Allen Maertz and Christopher Zimbardi and Step-Children; James Sands and his wife Jennifer and Marguerite Sands and her significant other Robert Reynolds, Grandchildren ; Dominque, Victoriya, Erik, John and Ashton, Great Grandchildren; Iris and Emil. In addition to his parents was predeceased by a brother; Ralph Zimbardi, a sister, Lena Hillman and a daughter-in-law, Sheena Redmond.
Tony was a loving, caring, wonderful, Husband, Father and Grandfather. Anthony also enjoyed the many trips and weekends spent at the family house in Wildwood. He retired from the U.S. Postal Services after 42 years of Service and also served or 8 years in the U.S. Navy Reserve. He was an avid Tennis player, motorcycle rider and Philadelphia Spots Fan. Tony loved to celebrate the Holidays especially with music. Christmas was his favorite holiday to celebrate and he also collected many Santa figurines. In the last 6 years Tony became the proud owner of his Red Mustang convertible.
Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 after 11:00 a.m. in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro followed by his Funeral Service at 12:00 noon. His interment will be private.
