Barbara Funk, age 79, of Holland, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026.
Born to Earl and Betty Funk, Barbara was raised in Feasterville, PA, alongside her three beloved sisters — Kathy Campbell, Phyllis Shupp, and Marilyn Gibble.
Barbara dedicated her professional life to the Internal Revenue Service, where she built a long and respected career. Outside of work, she embraced life with a sense of adventure and curiosity. She was an enthusiastic traveler, often taking 7+ bus trips each year, always eager to revisit favorite destinations or discover new ones.
She also had a special talent for shopping — Barbara could spot a bargain anywhere and took pride in finding the very “best” deal.
Though she never married, Barbara’s life was richly filled with family. She is survived by her three sisters, her five nieces and nephews, and more than ten great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom brought her tremendous joy.
Barbara will be remembered for her independence, her love of adventure, her sharp eye for a good find, and the deep affection she held for her family. Her presence will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
There will be no viewing or service. A private family gathering will be held in her honor.
Donations in Barbara’s memory may be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
