Barbara Molly Wunderlich

Barbara Molly (Derfler) Wunderlich, of New Hope PA, formerly of Pottstown, PA, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026, while a resident of Buckingham Valley Rehab and Nursing Center. She was 87 years old. She was the beloved and devoted wife of the late Harry L. Wunderlich Jr. Born in Montgomery County; she was the daughter of the late Robert and
Helen (Skelly) Derfler.

Barbara was a graduate of Norristown Area High School and was a devoted homemaker to her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. Barbara was a dedicated Jehovah’s Witness and loved sharing her beliefs with others. When younger, Barbara played on the basketball team at Norristown Area High School, had the opportunity to sing on television, and sang regularly on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. Later in life she enjoyed riding horses, traveling the country with her husband, crocheting, and making miniature items for shadow boxes and doll houses.

Barbara is survived by her sons John Robert DeStefano and Jayme Gerrard Wunderlich, Sr.; daughters, Michelle Leanne Williams, Erika Renee’ Straesser (husband Brian), Katrin Alyse Christman (husband Brian), Heidi Danyelle Marquisette (husband James H.); 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her great granddaughter Jessica Uss.
