Betty L. Pitrone

Betty L. Pitrone of Warminster passed away on February 17, 2023 at the age of 98.  She was born in Danville, PA the beloved daughter of the late Elmer J. and Elda Mae Smith. 

Betty is survived by her loving children; Vicki Morton and her husband James, James Pitrone and his wife Dorothea, and John Pitrone and his wife Marjorie, Adoring grandchildren; Jennifer O’Brien and her husband Frank, James Morton and his wife Lauren, Michael Morton and his wife Jacalyn, William Morton and his wife Leah, Jack Pitrone and his wife Mary, Larissa Smicker and her husband David, Daniel Pitrone, Jessica Pitrone and her Fiancé James Frino, thirteen great grandchildren and two sisters; Jean Seidel and her husband Richard and Nancy Tomlinson. In addition to her parents Betty was predeceased by two brothers Elmer Smith and Willard “Bill” Smith.

As a young girl Betty enjoyed playing sports including Field Hockey, Basketball and Softball. She was a 1942 graduate of Hatboro Horsham High School and upon graduation she joined Miller and Cornell Insurance in Hatboro, PA. Betty continued her career with Asplundh Tree Expert Company working in the Payroll Department retiring with over 30 years of service. She also was a faithful member of the Bucks County Seventh-Day Adventist Church for over 73 years.

Betty was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and playing games or cards with family, especially Pinochle. She also never missed an episode of Wheel of Fortune.

Relatives and friends will be received by her family on Friday, February 24 th after 10:00 a.m. followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro, PA. Her interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville, PA.
