Carole L. Monkres passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025 at her home in Warrington. She was 78 She was the devoted and dedicated wife of Ronald G. Monkres. The couple would have celebrated 50 years of marriage in June 2025. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Carl and Louise Grubenmann.
After graduating from Central Bucks High School, Carole earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at Delaware Valley College. She worked for the U.S. Airforce at the 913th Airlift Wing, Joint Reserve Base Willow Grove where she retired after 30 years. She earned the promotion to Budget Officer.
Carole enjoyed traveling throughout Europe with her husband, a career Navy pilot. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking and sewing, taking great pride in making many of her clothes. She was also a great gardener. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Ronald II (Megan) of Chalfont, PA and daughter Carole (Chad) of San Diego, CA. She thoroughly enjoyed being with her grandchildren William, Leah, Nicholas, and Gabriel.
Carole touched the lives of many people with her kind and generous soul. Her love and compassion extended to all those who knew her and she will be remembered for her kindness and loving personality
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 28 at Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro. Her funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. followed by her interment at George Washington Memorial Park.
