Carolyn Lois Zimmermann

Carolyn Lois Furman Zimmermann of Hatboro, PA, passed away June 22, 2022 at the Horsham Center For Jewish Life. She was 61.

Carolyn was born on July 30,1960 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Carolyn graduated Upper Moreland High School in 1978. After which, she attended Chestnut Hill’s Radiology Technology Program where she received her certification as a Radiologic Technologist. She later attended Gwynedd Mercy College and received her Bachelor degree in Health Science Management in 1991. 

Carolyn was blessed with a loving and caring family. She met her husband to be, Thomas Zimmermann at the mutual job they were both employed at, Fischer and Porter Company. She worked underneath the supervision of her soon to be Father-in-law, George Zimmermann Jr. for 3-4 years before she accepted her new role at Siemens Medical in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Her dedication to Siemens Medical lasted 20 years, rewarding her with a senior/lead title in her role as a Support Analyst. Carolyn was known as a respected, dedicated, hard worker through the difficult times she faced in everyday life. Carolyn was beloved by many of her coworkers. Her time at Acme Super Market in Dresher, PA financially supported her way through the Radiology Technology Program at Chestnut Hill College.

As well as her short legacies at NextGen Healthcare, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and Physicians Endoscopy were important career achievements.

Carolyn was predeceased by her father, Albert Furman; mother, Ruth Carol McMaster Furman; aunt Nancy McMaster Scarinci; and uncle Richard McMaster. She is survived by her husband, Thomas, brother William Furman, and daughter Dana Zimmermann.

A “Celebration of Life & Memorial Service” will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at Schneider Funeral Home 431 N York Road Hatboro, PA 19040.
