Charles J. McGovern

Charles J. McGovern, Jr. of Roslyn passed away suddenly on January 8, 2024. He was 76 years old. Chuck was born on February 6, 1947 the son of the late Charles, Sr. and Elizabeth McGovern.

Chuck was a graduate of McDevitt Bishop High School, class of 1966. He was a Roslyn resident for over 65 years. He was a proud employee at Proctor and Gamble and loved to watch his Philadelphia Phillies. Chuck cherished time spent with his family in Wildwood, New Jersey.

Charles is survived by his sisters, Betsy Finerghty and her husband Tom, Eileen Cleary and Maureen Sibley and her husband Bob, one niece and four nephews along with five grandnieces and four grand nephews. Chuck was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Bill and his nephew Greg.

Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Monday, January 15th after 10 am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 321 Witmer Road, Horsham and are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 11am. His interment will follow in Holy Sepluchre Cemetery, Philadelphia. In lieu of flowers, donations in Chuck’s name may be made the charity of the donor’s choice.
