Charles Edwin Staley of Hatboro, a 30 year former resident of Montgomeryville and over 37 year former resident of Abington passed away on October 29, 2022. He was 81 years old. Charles was the beloved husband of Barbara Staley with whom he shared over 58 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife Charles is survived by a loving Daughter, Donna Grecian, a loving Son, Butch Staley, a granddaughter, Hannah Grecian, a nephew, Stephen Staley (Linda) and a niece, Carlene Staley (Victor). In addition to his parents Charles was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Staley, and a brother Alan Staley.
Charles was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of the Royal Order of the Moose Lodge in Sellersville, Masonic Lodge F&AM Bray Lodge #410 and a Life Member of Abington Fire Company. He retired from NCR after spending his whole 37 year career with them. Charles also loved to spoil his granddaughter, loved to vacation on the Outer Banks, and enjoyed the history of buses, trains and trolleys. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend who was loved by many and will be dearly missed. He always knew how to put a smile on your face and was ready to help those in need.
Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Saturday, December 3, 2022 after 10:00 a.m. followed by his Masonic Service and Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040. Interment will be private. If desired memorials in Charles memory may be made to Mooseheart Child City and School at Mooseheart.org.
