Christina “Tina” P. Plakis (née Closeme), of Warminster, PA, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025. She is survived by her devoted husband, Joseph V. Plakis, Jr., and their children: Rebecca Caldwell (Keith), Victoria Molloy (James), Cynthia Sirmons (Kevin), and Joseph Plakis (Jennifer). Tina was the extremely proud and adoring “Nana” of Ethan, Emily, Isaac, Avery, Joseph, Reid, and Jocelyn, all of whom brought her immeasurable joy.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Tina was the daughter of the late Andrew Closeme and Alice (née Boyes). She was raised primarily in the Abington, PA area alongside her beloved siblings, Constance Lange, Barbara Farrell, and Michael Closeme.
From an early age, Tina had a natural gift for the arts. She performed in high school and local theater productions and even danced on Bandstand. As the years passed, she continued to express her creativity in countless ways, through printwork, sewing, cake decorating, and nearly any medium that sparked her curiosity. Tina embraced every new interest with unabashed enthusiasm.
Tina also gave generously of her time and heart. She volunteered as a troop leader and camp director with the Agape Camp Fire Girls, served faithfully as a parish Eucharistic Minister, and brought laughter to many as “Bubbles T.” When and where needed in the community, Tina freely shared her guidance, faith, and imagination.
Those who knew Tina will remember her faithfulness, unwavering love, and distinctive flair. May her memory be a light to those who mourn Tina, and a lasting testament to a life lived with passion, humor, and God’s grace.
On Friday, December 19, 2025, family and friends are invited to her visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at10:30 in St. John Bosco Church, 235 East County Line Road, Hatboro, PA. Her interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Last Chance Ranch, 9 Beck Road, Quakertown, PA 18951, in Tina’s name, supporting the rescue from which she adopted her four-legged companion, Daisy.
