Christine Rieber of Warminster passed away on April 1, 2023 at the age of 86. Christine was reunited with her late husband, Leroy “Dale” Rieber, Jr., with whom she had shared over 64 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, Christine was the daughter of the late Edward Gruenbaum and Martha Beals. She was the sister of Edward Gruenbaum (Jane), Edward Beals (Joanne) and the late Janet Perretti (Joe).
Those who knew Christine, know she was a lady with many nick names. To her loving husband, Dale, she was “Red Hot, Sweetie, Chris and whatever name came to mind depending on his mood.” To her children Dale, Tina (Andy), Vicki and Scott (Roxey), she was “Mom or Ma.” To her grandchildren Tom (Porsche), Amber (Justin), Andrea (Adie), Ryan, Justin and Sean she was “Grandmom, G-Mom or just plain G.” She was known as “Cissy or Aunt Cissy” to her siblings and nieces and nephews.
Whatever name you called her, you could always guarantee a time filled with laughter, love and an open seat at the table. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, a good book on her Kindle, listening to music, watching Yellowstone, cheering on the Phillies and our annual family trip to Ocean City, NJ . According to Christine when sharing achievements with her grandkids, “she was great at literally everything she’s ever tried—mini golfing, bowling, tennis, volleyball, curling, dancing. You name it, she’s done it and she was the best.”
Christine attended Olney High School where she met her lifelong sorority sisters. They have supported each other through life’s joys and challenges. She cherished time spent with all of her friends, especially the ones on Winchester Road.
Relatives and friends will be received by her family on Friday, April 7, 2023 after 12:00 p.m. followed by her Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro. Her interment will be private.
