Constance M. Smoluk

Constance M. Smoluk (nee Ferry) of Hartsville, formerly a 40-year resident of Algard Street in Philadelphia, passed away on December 8, 2024. She was 75 years old and lovingly known as, Conni. She was born and raised in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Ferry. Conni shared over 51 years of marriage with her husband, Joe, with whom she is now reunited.  

Conni attended St. Veronica’s grade school and is a 1967 graduate of Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls. She then attended school at Chestnut Hill Hospital and earned numerous certifications to become a Medical Technologist. Conni loved her career in Hematology and made life-long friends along the way. She reluctantly retired after more than 40 years in the field.  

Having a great mix of common sense, street smarts, and wisdom, Conni was a sanctuary for all who knew her. She was a voracious reader and had a deep love of nature. Conni enjoyed travel and new adventures. Her summers were spent in Ocean City, NJ surrounded by loved ones. Conni was a loving mother and doting grandmother who cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.    

With much admiration, her daughters; Veronica Felmey (Gregg) and Alexis Wells (Jeff) will preserve Conni’s spirit. Her grandchildren; Cecelia, Declan, Falco, and Ryan will deeply miss their Grandmom. Conni is also survived by her sisters Janice Shea (Charles), Christine Ovington (Brian) and brother, Bruce Ferry. Conni is preceded by her sister, Andrea and by her sister-in-law, Margaret.
