David H. Zieger

David H. Zieger, of Warminster, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. He was 81 years old. David was the loving husband of Georgia Zieger (nee Roe) with whom he shared over 49 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Herman and Eleanor (nee Newton) Zieger.

David was a Class of 1961 graduate of Gettysburg College. He worked for over 45 years as a rose grower and proprietor of Zieger’s Nursery. David thoroughly enjoyed his frequent phone calls to friends and family especially his brother, Tom. He also loved the many vacations spent with his family over the years just watching and interacting with the kids and grandkids.  David was famous for giving the grandkids the best back scratches ever. No one else would do.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing, canoeing, and maintaining and driving his Model T. David was a lifelong Lionel train collector, and he loved setting up fun displays for the kids and grandkids to enjoy; but above everything, he loved his family.

In addition to his wife, David is survived by his children, Sarah Dominek and John Zieger (Melissa); his grandchildren, Zoe, Jackson, and Madison Dominek and Hannah, Benjamin, and Nora Zieger; his brother, Tom Zieger (Linda); and his nephews, Adam (Willow) Zieger and Michael (Leslie) Tipping. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son-in-law, Derek Dominek.
