Debra Lukes Obituary

Debra Lyn Lukes (nee Cargill), passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021. She was 67 years old. She was the loving wife of Walter A. Lukes with whom she shared 41 years of marriage. Born in Camden, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Norman Allen and Evelene Hope (nee Allen) Cargill.

Debra was a stay at home mother, raising her children until she got her Bachelor’s from Holy Family College. She then spent the next 17 years teaching in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Debra loved arts and crafts, the beach and the ocean, especially Long Beach Island; but above all else she loved her family.

In addition to her husband, Debra is survived by her children, Laura Anne Crawford, Dwight Nelson Crawford II, and Mark Adam Crawford (Kathleen); her grandchildren, Deanna Rose Crawford, Katharine Evelyn Crawford, and Mark Adam Crawford II; and her sisters, Susan Beth Coyle and Amy Jo Kirkpatrick. She is also survived by other loving family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Monday, February 22, 2021 after 9:30 AM until the time of her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in Nativity of Our Lord Church, 605 West Street Road, Warminster. Her interment will immediately follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
