Dorothy S. Schwartz

Dorothy S. Schwartz (nee Behr), of Jamison, formerly of Willow Grove, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.  She was 88 years old.  Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late George R. Schwartz whom she shared over 63 years of marriage. She was born in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Walter F. and Ethel B. (nee Grier) Behr.

Dorothy graduated from Frankford High School, Class of 1951. She loved to read, travel, and bowling in the various leagues over the years. Dorothy was a Willow Grove resident for 38 years and was a 47 year long member at the Upper Moreland Swim Club.

Dorothy is survived by three children, Steven Schwartz (Dorothy), Kurt Schwartz (Mariann), and Lynda Schwartz; and three grandchildren, Robert, Deanna Christensen (Ryan), and Jenna Schwartz. In addition to her husband and parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Behr and a grandson, Steve E. Schwartz.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Monday, November 29, 2021 after 11:00 AM until the time of her Funeral Service at 12:00 PM in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro.  Her interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Huntingdon Valley.
