Edward John McAuley of Warminster, PA passed away on February 27, 2023 at his granddaughters home in Mount Laurel, NJ. He was 92 years old. Edward was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1930 and was the son of the late John Ambrose McAuley and Sarah Marie Callaghan. Edward was the husband of the late Betty Ellison. They were married for 30 beautiful years.
Edward went to the Incarnation Grade School and graduated from Northeast Catholic High School. He attended La Salle College before entering into the United States Navy in March of 1951. While serving his Country, Edward was stationed on the USS Mattabesset and received the Navy Good Conduct Medal and he was honorably discharged in March of 1955. He retired from Honeywell after 25 plus years. Edward loved to travel with his wife Betty, go to the casinos and be with friends. In his later years, Edward spent his time with grandchildren who adored him.
Edward is survived by 5 grandchildren: Christina Odd, Kelly Cariello, Marcus Feldman, Michael Feldman and David Manning; 5 great grandchildren: Elizabeth Odd, Nicholas Odd, Michael Celia, Brianna Cariello and Vincent Cariello; and 1 great-great grandchild: Brayden Almeida; and his sister Carmella McAuley. Edward was predeceased by his brothers Joseph McAuley and Ronald McAuley and his sister Marie Furnival.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Edward’s life at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church located at 1795 Columbia Avenue, Warrington, PA 18976 on Saturday March 4th, 2023. A visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am precisely. Interment will take place at St. John Neumann Cemetery located at 3797 County Line Road, Chalfont, PA 18914.
