Edward Smith Obituary

Edward F. Smith, of Warminster, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021. He was 68 years old. Ed was the loving husband of Jeanne M. Smith (nee Hochmuth), with whom he shared 48 years of marriage. Born in Abington, PA he was a son of the late Samuel M. and Anna May (nee Hamilton) Smith.

In addition to his wife, Ed is survived by his children, Melissa LoRusso (John) and Christopher Smith; his grandchildren, Jessica LoRusso and Teagan Smith; his sister, Amanda Smith; his in-laws, Frank Hochmuth (Julie Gable) and Robert Hochmuth. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Smith.

Ed was a graduate of Bensalem High School and was a tractor trailer driver all his life. He most recently worked at Advanced Lubrication Specialties. An avid fisherman, Ed loved to be out on the water trying to catch the next big one. When he wasn’t fishing, he enjoyed going to the Bridgeport Speedway or watching old westerns on TV. However, nothing gave him more joy than taking care of and being with his family. He was known for being a grill master and hosting the best backyard BBQ’s.

Family and friends will be received by his family on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Due to current, COVID-19 restrictions, his private services and interment will follow.

In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Ed’s love of dogs, memorial contributions may be made to Harley’s Haven Dog Rescue or ACCT Philly.
