Eileen D. Ortolani

Eileen D. Ortolani of Hatboro passed away on July 4,2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was 91 years old. Eileen was the beloved wife of Valentine P. Ortolani with whom she had shared 67 years of marriage. She was born and raised in the Rhawnhurst part of Philadelphia to the late William and Emma Doherty. 

Eileen attended Frankford High School but moved to Glenside in her junior year and graduated from Abington High School. She earned an Associate Degree from Pierce Business School. She was employed as a secretary at Sealtest. Later, after raising her children, she worked as the Fashion Show Coordinator for Wanamaker's. She kept a close relationship with childhood friends for the longest time, calling themselves the sorority group. Eileen was also thought of as the social director and was the life of any party. She was an avid reader and card player with Bridge becoming her favorite. Eileen and Val were fortunate to travel to many parts of the world, often with their good friends Joyce and Dick. Her favorite place, though, was the Jersey shore. She loved spending summers at the shore and grew up going to Avalon and later had a home in Stone Harbor. Eileen cherished her time spent with family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
 

ln addition to her husband Valentine, Eileen is survived by her children, Lynn O. Goldkamp and her husband Michael W. and Stephen Ortolani and his wife Leslie, six grandchildren, Julia Politano (August), Michelle Sinnamon (Jeffrey), Jeffrey Goldkamp (fiance` Nibha), Caitlin Leonard (Ryan), Meghan Ortolani and Andrea Ortolani, five great grandchildren, Brooklyn and August Politano, Flynn and Shay Sinnamon and Zoe Leonard. Eileen is also survived by a brother Captain Richard Doherty USCG (retired).
 

Relatives and friends will be received by her family on Tuesday, July 11th after 10 am in the Church of the Advent, 12 Byberry Road, Hatboro and are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 11 am. Her interment will be private. ln lieu of flowers, donations in Eileen's name may be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org or mailed to 1617 John F Kennedy Blvd # 700, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
