Eileen Beatrice Simmons (1944 - 2024)
Eileen Beatrice Simmons (nee McDonough), 79, of Willow Grove, died
peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loved ones at home on February
17, 2024.
She was born in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Martin and Mary
McDonagh on August 11, 1944.
Eileen most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially
her favorite people who call her Mom-mom. She graduated from Bishop
McDevitt High School in 1962 and worked at Bell Telephone for many
years. She was proud of her accomplishment of 30 years of service when
she retired from Doylestown Hospital. She also worked at K-Mart. She
loved to cook and deliver meals to friends and family, spending time on the
beach, and celebrating her Irish heritage.
Eileen will be joining in heaven her father Martin, her mother Mary, her
brother Martin and her sisters Marian and Joan LOL <3
Eileen is survived by her sister Dorothy Waddington (Jim) of North Whales
and their family; her brother Jim McDonough (Carol) of Naples, FL and
their family; her daughter Patti Schell (Doug) of Townsend, DE; her son Joe
Simmons Jr. (Meg) of Horsham; her daughter Kelly Ann Simmons of
Hatboro; her daughter Kathy Thorne (Alex) of Yardley; her daughter Karen
Butler (Mike) of Doylestown; and her daughter BethAnne Simmons of
Willow Grove; and sixteen grandchildren Megan, Bryan, Sean, Courtney,
Aimee, Joey, Kaeli, Justin, Jessica, Jake, Jorden, Jenna, Logan, Jax,
Grayson, Emily and ten great-grandchildren Timmy, Nick, Katie, Aubrey,
Colton, Parker, Penny, Kendall, Kai, and Koal and granddog Finnegan; the
McDonough Family of Jamison; the McNamee Family of Philadelphia; and
the Daniel’s family of Warminster;

Friends and family are invited to her viewing on Wednesday, February 21,
2024 at 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Rd,
Hatboro and to attend her funeral Mass on Thursday, February 22 at 11:00
AM at Nativity of Our Lord Church 585 Street Rd. Warminster. Her
interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 3301 W Cheltenham Ave,
Philadelphia.
