Elaine L. Jones

“A life well lived leaves behind a beautiful bouquet of memories”

Elaine L. Jones of Ocean City, NJ passed away peacefully in Warrington, Pa surrounded by her loving

family on December 9, 2023. She was 95 years old. Elaine was born July 9, 1928 in Elkins Park daughter

of the late Albert and Irene Mercer.

Elaine enjoyed keeping herself busy. She was energetic, artistic, and independent. She worked at the

Frankford cleaners for over ten years as well as the Peanut Shop in Ocean City, NJ. She loved being in

Ocean City and the boardwalk, where she lived for over 40 years. Elaine had a passion for taking care of

her house plants, crocheting, and cherished her card games with her grandchildren and great

grandchildren. She would never miss a casino trip or a good scratch off. She was known to greet you with

treats and never had a candy jar that wasn’t filled. Elaine will be remembered for her humor and witty

banter.

Elaine is survived by her sons, William Spotts and his wife Aliw of Hawaii and Jeffrey Spotts and his

wife Nancy of Warrington, PA, five Grandchildren, Dawn Link and her husband Jamie, Thomas Spotts

and his wife Lori, Dianne Pfueller and her husband Kyle, Sunshine Spotts and Michael Javier, five Great

grandchildren, Isabella and Addelyn Link and Grace, Thomas and Alice Spotts.

Relatives and friends will be received by her family on Friday, December 15 th  after 10 am in Schneider

Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro and are invited to attend her Memorial Service at 11 am. Her

inurnment will follow in Northwood Cemetery, Philadelphia. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in

Elaine’s name to American Cancer Society.

We would like to thank the nursing staff at Neshaminy Manor and all her caregivers over the years for

their compassion, patience, and efforts providing her support.
