Elizabeth Morrissey Obituary

Elizabeth B. Morrissey of Horsham passed away on April 2, 2024. She was 82 years old.  Elizabeth was the beloved wife of the late Philip T. Morrissey, Sr. with whom she had shared over 38 years of marriage.  She was born in Lancaster, PA a daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth Bolenius.

Elizabeth is survived by her two loving sons: Philip Morrissey, Jr. and Michael Morrissey; sister; Mary Ann Price (Walter); brother; Robert Bolenius (Sharon); nephews; Walter Price , Robert Bolenius, Bradley Bolenius (Kellsey), Andrew Bolenius; nieces Beth Price Shreve (Rick), Tracy Price Splain (Steve).

Elizabeth was a leader and supporter of the Brain Injury Association of America. She loved animals especially horses and dogs her Favorite Horse being Jackie.  Elizabeth retired after many years of Service as a Central Casher from the Willow Grove Navy Base where she was entrusted to transport large volumes of money with a police escort to nearby banks. She enjoyed traveling with her sister taking a journey out west visiting Utah, the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and on another adventure took a guided tour of Alaska with her Son Phil and her Sister Mary Ann about a year later.  In her younger years she was a Cub Scout Den mother. 

Relatives and friends will be received by her family on Saturday, April 13, 2024 after 10:00 a.m. followed by Her Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040.  Her interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, PA 19040.  In lieu of Flowers Memorials in Elizabeth’s memory may be made to the National Head Injury Foundation or to the National Alzheimer’s Foundation.
