Elmer R. Mangin, of Hatboro, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. He was 93 years old. Elmer was the loving husband of Shirley (nee Marshall) Mangin with whom he shared 70 years of marriage. Born in Abington, he was a son of the late Evolina (nee Stafford) and Alvin Mangin Sr.
Elmer worked at SPS Technologies for over 45 years as a Machine Technician. After he retired, he worked as a Van Driver for Hatboro-Horsham School District. Elmer loved to travel, whether it was to the beach or a campground. He was a handyman who could fix anything and loved to make birdhouses. Elmer was a member of the Chelten Church of Hope for over 35 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Ron Mangin (Beth), Lynda Leib (Dave), Ken Mangin (Laurie), and Steve Mangin (Laura); his 15 grandchildren; and his 20 great-grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of his life at a later date. His interment will be held privately.
