Elsie Harpf Obituary

Elsie Harpf, aged 95, of Warminster, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter Harpf, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage. She was born in Germantown, Pennsylvania, in 1931. Elsie was the eldest of three daughters of the late Wilhelm Sprinzing and Else Gerl.

She grew up in the area and graduated from Germantown High School. Elsie and Walter raised their family in Horsham, Pennsylvania, where they spent over 50 years creating a warm and welcoming home. Together, they shared a love for travel, frequently crossing the Atlantic to visit relatives in Germany and cherished every opportunity to spend time with their close friends and family. Elsie was a founding member of the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Horsham. Her dedication to her church community spanned over 65 years, during which she spent countless hours tending to the altar flowers and organizing the annual rummage sale.

Later in life, she moved to Ann’s Choice Senior Living Community where she joined old friends and made many new ones. She enjoyed attending many of the activities, especially playing cards with friends and playing weekly bingo. She continued to volunteer her services acting as an ambassador and volunteering at the Tresure Chest. She made the world a better place with her warm presence and selflessness.

Elsie’s greatest joy was her family, who lovingly knew her as "Oma" She is survived by her daughters, Debra Moreland and her husband, Robert, of Seven Valleys, PA, and Lisa McDonnell of Warrington, PA, her sister Helen Linn of Warrington, PA, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ingrid Fisher and son-in-law, William McDonnell.
