Emily A. Posner

Emily A. Posner of Feasterville-Trevose went home to be with the Lord on January 19, 2023.  She was 40 years old.  Emily was the beloved wife of George F. Posner with whom she had celebrated over 20 and a half years of marriage.  She was born in Abington, PA, a daughter of Ellen Rose Hierholzer and the late John (Frank) Hierholzer, Jr. 

Emily graduated from Calvary Christian Academy and attended Calvary Chapel Bible College.

After graduating from the Abington Memorial Hospital Dixon School of Nursing with distinguished honors of 4.0, Emily was an Emergency Room Nurse at Abington Memorial Hospital for 11 years. She also worked with special needs patients with in-home care. Emily was a loving wife and mother, who had a genuine relationship with Jesus. She encouraged her children in their walk with the Lord too. Emily also taught her children how to be responsible and how to have integrity and grit.  Emily herself, was a "Jill of all trades" who had mechanical, electrical and plumbing abilities.  Additionally, Emily loved to cook and had a meticulous eye for craftsmanship. Emily had a quick wit and if you listened close, she would make you laugh with her funny one liners. She cherished her time with her family, whether it was attending her children's sporting events or being at home with them.  In her youth, Emily was an All Star Shortstop, competing for Pennsylvania in the Little League World Softball World Series. Emily also played on basketball, field hockey and soccer teams. Emily and her father shared a bond as true Phillies fans.

In addition to her Husband and Mother, Emily is survived by: her loving children Ryann, George “Elliott”, Lincoln, Edison and Wynnie; brothers: Jeff Hierholzer and his wife Maggie; and John Hierholzer and his fiance Ashley Minton and Father and Mother-in-Law: George and Loretta Posner.  Emily is also survived by many aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her father, Emily was predeceased by a daughter Hattie Mae Posner. Emily will be so dearly missed by everyone that knows her.

Relatives and friends will be received by Emily's family on Thursday, January 26th from 9:30 am until 11:00 am in Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia, 13500 Philmont Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19116 and to attend Emily’s Memorial Service at 11:00am.
