Eugene H. Schmoltze, Jr.

Eugene H. Schmoltze, Jr. of Willow Grove passed away on September 22, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.  He was 68 years old.  Gene was the beloved husband of Jacqueline (nee Searight) Schmoltze with whom he had shared over 42 years of marriage.  He was born in Abington, PA a son of the late Eugene H. and Eileen Schmoltze, Sr.

In addition to his wife Gene is survived by his loving children; Amie Schmoltze Brady and her husband Nicholas, Brett Schmoltze and Kelsey Schmoltze, adoring grandchildren; Taylor, Colt, Arden Brady and Eleanor Bennett, a brother; Harry Schmoltze and two sisters; Diana Fox and her husband Robert and Stephanie Nelson.  In addition to his parents Gene was predeceased by a sister, Danielle Schmoltze. 

He was known as a family man who loved spending time with his children and especially his grandchildren. Gene was a great helper in the community volunteering and supporting little league baseball, soccer, wrestling and youth football. He was known as the biggest fan of all sports, but especially all things Upper Moreland, St Joe’s and DelVal Football. Gene was a Member of the W.K. Bray Lodge #410 F.&A.M.  and also a member of the Riverside Community Church.  He was a Graduate of Upper Moreland High School, Class of 1971 and was working with the Reunion Committee to help organize the multi-year reunion next year. Gene took pride in being a self-employed carpenter providing the community with over 40 years of service.  For the last 10 years he humbly lived a sober life with a joyful, loving heart. He was a friend to all.

Eugene’s Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, Oct 7, 2021 at 6pm at Riverside Community Church in Horsham. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in Eugene’s name be made to Riverside Community Church.
