Festus F. Adeoye of Philadelphia passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the age of 62. He was born in Ekiti State, Nigeria, a son of Alice Ebun Adeoye and the late Jimmy Adebisi Adeoye.
In addition to his mother, Festus is survived by two daughters: Leslie Adeoye and Betsy Adeoye; three brothers: Ayodele Adeoye, Adewale Adeoye, Gboyega Emmanuel Adeoye; as well as countless friends and loved ones.
Festus was a devoted member of the Winners Chapel International Philadelphia Church where he loved to attend services. He was well known for his contagious, recognizable, whole-body laugh, along with his enjoyment of driving around aimlessly while blasting music with the windows down. He was famous for buying and selling cars, cooking African foods, and calling all family and friends in his contact list at any time of day. Festus was a Business entrepreneur who took pride in his impeccable attire, whether it be his fancy suit and tie or his red track suit with matching hat and sneakers. He is remembered for having a map-like memory of the city of Philadelphia, for becoming immediate friends with everyone he met, and for exhibiting unwavering pride in his daughters’ accomplishments.
Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Monday, September 28th after 11:00 until 12:00 noon in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only 25 people will be allowed in the building at a time, social distancing measures must be practiced, and masks must be worn. His Memorial Service, due to Covid-19 restrictions, will be private. He will be buried in Hatboro Cemetery.
