Forrest L. Fitzgerald ("Skip"), of Hatboro, PA, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Grandview Hospital in Sellersville, PA. He was 73. Skip was the loving husband of Ilona Strauss and they shared 20 years of marriage together.
Skip was born in Norristown, Montgomery County, PA in 1950 and he was the son of the late Forrest W. Fitzgerald and Elizabeth A. (McCall) Hallman. In his early years, Skip grew up in Lower Gwynedd Valley. Skip proudly served his Country in the U.S. Marine Corps for three years during the Vietnam War. Skip was a businessman and able Craftsman. He was truly a jack-of-all trades and he really could do anything! Skip was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman.
Skip is survived by his loving wife Ilona Strauss of Hatboro, PA; son, David Fitzgerald and his wife Faith of Maryland; his daughter Laura Bomberger and her husband Steve of Phoenixville, PA; his 5 wonderful grandchildren that brought a sparkle to his eyes: Cole, CJ and Mia Bomberger and Nate and Izzie Fitzgerald; sisters: Norma Pierce (Frank) of Florida, Starr Stewart of Collegeville, PA; brother Thomas Fitzgerald (Ronnie) of Birdsboro, PA; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial services and interment in Washington National Crossing Cemetery are being planned for a future date.
