George A. Bonanni of Anne's Choice Warminster, passed away on May 20th, in Doylestown Hospital. He was 97 years old. George was the devoted husband of the late Gilda D'Ascenzo whom he shared 63 years of marriage. George was born in Philadelphia, the son of the late Fabio and Michelina DiGregorio. He was preceded in death by siblings Louis, John, Martha, Helen, Alfred, Lena, Florence and Jean.
George graduated Northeast High School. He played the trumpet in a band, served in the Army, and was a Draftsman. After retiring from Stone and Webster, he and Gilda spent winters at their second home in Boca Raton Florida. He was an avid golfer, loved to dance, listen to the big bands and Frank Sinatra. George also loved to watch the Eagles every Sunday with his son Stephen. He was a gentle, kind, loving Dad and Grandfather who will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his daughter Michelyn (Mickey) McDevitt and her husband Burt, son Stephen, and son George and his wife Sue, grandchildren Keith, Mike, Laura, Nick, Josh and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on May 29th from 10 am to 11 am at St. Joseph Church, 1795 Columbia Ave.,Warrington PA, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11.
His interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made online to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
