George Snyder Obituary

George J. Snyder, a 57 year resident of Horsham passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. He was 82
years old and the beloved husband for over 60 years to Marie A. Snyder (nee Grossman). George was
born in Philadelphia, the son of the late George E. and Louise Snyder.
George attended Central High School and graduated from Temple High School in Philadelphia. For over
50 years George was self-employed producing Snyder Rotary Phase Converters for numerous
companies. He was also a Tool and Die Maker by trade. He loved working on his Jeep and Corvette in his
spare time while listening to Doo-wop and rock and roll music. George had a deep love for dogs, often
times taking in stray dogs and offering them a new home as part of his family. George was also a
devoted Mason for over 45 years.
In addition to his wife, George is survived by his two sons William Snyder and his wife Sarah and Mark
Snyder and his wife Nicole, four grandchildren, Justin, Meghan, Madison and Morgan. He was preceded
in death by his sister Rosalee.
Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Tuesday, July 16th from 9:30 am to 11:00 am
(Masonic Service at 10:45 am) in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro and are invited to
attend his Funeral Mass at 11:30 am in St. Joseph Church, 1795 Columbia Ave, Warrington, PA 18976.
His interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn. In lieu of flowers, donations in George’s name
may be made to the Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue HERE. To share memories and
