Georgina Torres

Georgina Torres, 94, passed away on February 10, 2021 in Horsham, Pennsylvania surrounded by loved ones.  Georgina, also known as Gina, was born on December 22, 1926 to Petrolina Roche and Ramon Torres in Villalba, Puerto Rico. 

Gina was a fiercely dedicated mom to all of her children, raising all eight of them.  Family came first and was above all else to Gina, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.

She had a wonderful sense of humor and always made us laugh. She had a way of healing those around her with her words and definitely with her prayers. She knew what mattered most; and family meant everything to her. She lived so beautifully and deserves to be beautifully remembered.

Gina was a business and restaurant owner who was a passionate and amazing cook.  When she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found in her kitchen creating wonderful culinary delights.  We will miss her greatly.

Georgina was predeceased by her husband Ismael Rentas and her three sons, Hector Luis, Luis Anibal and Jose Antonio.  She is survived by her sisters, Santa, Genoveva and Elisa; her four daughters, Felicita, Adelina, Rosa Maria, Maria Elisa and her son Edward.   She is also survived by 27  grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Tuesday, February 16th from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. followed by the funeral mass at 10:30 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 1795 Columbia Avenue, Warrington PA 18976.  Her interment will follow at Greenmount Cemetery at 4301 N. Front Street, Philadelphia, PA.
