Gerald J. Straup

Gerald J. Straup, of Hatboro, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. He was 77 years old. Jerry was the beloved husband of 23 years to the late Mary C. (nee Gambino) Straup. He was born in Philadelphia to the late Charles H. and Patricia E. Straup.

Jerry was a beloved father and pop-pop. He taught his late son the importance of family and hard work by the way he lived his life. Jerry always enjoyed a good cup of coffee and a NASCAR race. 

Gerald is survived by his daughter-in-law, Shannon Straup of Pennsburg; his stepchildren, Connie Snedeker and her husband, Robert of Chalfont and Michael Rogers and his wife, Denise of Hatboro; granddaughters, Samantha and Sarah Straup; and a grandson, Mark Rogers. Jerry was preceded in death by a son, Chris Straup and a brother, Larry Straup.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, October 30, 2021 after 11:00 AM in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro until the time of his Funeral Service at 12:00 PM. His interment will immediately follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Gerald’s name to the Cameron Boyce Foundation.
