Gisela M. Schuett of Ann’s Choice in Warminster, formerly a 50 year resident of Blue Bell, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022. She was 83 years old. Gisela was the beloved wife of Egon Horst Schuett with whom she had celebrated over 50 years of marriage. She was born in Germany and raised by Max and Helene Hackelberg.
Gisela is survived by her loving children; Marianne Greco and her husband James, Egon Schuett and his wife Glenda, and Susanne Foulds, grandchildren; Matthew and Michael Greco, Keegon, Meredith and Max Schuett and Evan Foulds. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a brother Winfred Hackelberg.
She met her husband very early in life and at a German Youth Church Group and from then it was important to Gisela that her family have strong community roots. She was an avid reader and enjoyed making friends. These traits enabled Gisela to work her way from Associate to Department Manager with the Boscov Department Store and become integral to Albert Boscov in the opening many of the Philadelphia area locations. She also loved to travel visiting Spain, Greece, Ireland, England, Africa and Germany. After moving to Ann’s Choice Gisela’s gregarious nature lead her to join the German Club, volunteer as an Usher at the movies and be an Ambassador for Ann’s Choice with new and potential residents. She will be fondly remembered by many for the three laps each day she walk around Ann’s Choice with her unique swaying sweaters.
Relatives and friends will be received by her family after 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022 in Ann’s Choice, Multi-Purpose Room, 30000 Ann’s Choice Way, Warminster followed by her memorial service at 12:00 p.m. Her interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, 200 S Montgomery Ave, Norristown, PA.
