Grace H. DeBaufre

Grace H. DeBaufre, of Hatboro, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021. She was 76 years old. Grace was born in Wye Mills, Maryland, a daughter of the late William and Rose (née Cosden) Wolcott.  

She is survived by her loving children, Eric Johnson-DeBaufre and his wife, Melanie Johnson-DeBaufre, and Nicole Cruz and her husband, Eduardo “Eddie” Cruz; grandchildren, Grace Johnson-DeBaufre, Siera, Savana, and Sawyer Cruz; and beloved partner, George Hart of North Wales, PA. In addition to her parents, Grace was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Elizabeth “Bette” Gilbert, William Wolcott, Ann Faulkner, and David Wolcott.

Grace worked for more than 40 years in customer service at C & D Technologies and E. W. Kaufmann Company, both in eastern Pennsylvania. In her retirement, she was an elder care provider, especially for those suffering from Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Grace loved spending time with her adoring children and grandchildren and taking care of others. She was an avid reader, tireless worker, lover of animals, and a generous and devoted friend to many. 

Relatives and friends will be received by her family at Schneider Funeral Home in Hatboro, PA, on Friday, January 7, 2022, after 1:00 p.m., followed by her memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Her interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Grace’s memory may be made to the Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association.
