Gregory John Miller, of Warminster, PA, passed away unexpectedly on November 21, 2022. He was 78 years old. Greg was born in Lancaster, PA in 1944 to his parents Clarence and May Miller.
Greg was a father to Megan Scavillo (Jason) and Michael Miller and he was a very loving and devoted grandfather to Victoria and Alexandria Scavillo. Greg was preceded in death by his loving wife Rita Miller (Fazio), his parents, and his brothers.
Greg was a proud Vietnam Veteran who enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy from 1967-1971. After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy, he went on to serve in the Air Force and Air National Guard for a combined 37 years of dedicated service before retiring in 2004 from the Air National Guard. During this time he held many position at the Willow Grove Air Force Base which is where he spent a lot of time before the base was decommissioned and closed.
Greg was a devoted family man and he was very involved with both of his children coaching sports teams, cheering on the sidelines and attending all of their activities.
Greg was most commonly known as “Pop” to all. He loved his Granddaughters greatly. Pop never missed a sporting event, school function, birthday, holiday or anything that his children were involved in. He loved telling them funny stories, goofing around and causing (good) trouble with them. The girls loved spending time with him and they both miss him dearly.
Pop could always be found around town wearing either an Eagles, Phillies or Sixers shirt. He was a devoted fan to his Philly teams. He was very excited about the Eagles season this year. He said: “This is their year!” (Although he did say that every year!)
Greg lived a very simple life and he loved his life, his family and his friends. Greg always had a smile on his face and had a cheerful, upbeat and positive attitude. He would stop to chat with anyone, and he was always there to help someone in need. Greg enjoyed spending time at the VFW in Warminster and had many stories about the events going on there. Pop was loved by many and he will be truly missed by all.
