Irmgard Gravel of Hatboro passed away peacefully at her residence on April 19, 2024. She was 87. Irmgard was the beloved wife of Ralph.
Born in Andermach, Germany, Irmgard was the daughter of the late Maria Mueller Becker and Jacob Becker.
She was educated in Germany before coming to the United States in 1953. Irmgard was employed for many years at the Davisville Center, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Lehman Memorial United Methodist Church, Hatboro and a member of the Vereinigung Erzgebirge German Club of Warminster where she was the treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary for twenty five years.
Irmgard loved spending time at the home she and Ralph had in the Pocono Mountains. She was active in Crooked Billet Women and loved to spend time cooking, gardening and knitting.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph who, on September 12th would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. She is also survived by son, Brian Gravel of Hatboro and her sister, Gretel Marx of Germany as well as many nieces and nephews in Germany and the United States.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 29, 2024. Visitation and greeting the family will be at 10:00 a.m. followed immediately by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Lehman Memorial United Methodist Church.
