Jane Britton

Jane L. Britton passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023.  She was 94 years old.  Jane was the beloved wife of the late Robert W. Britton with whom she had shared over 44 years of marriage.  She was born in Philadelphia, PA a daughter of the late William S. and Lillian Riggs. 

Jane is survived by her two loving children; Robert W. Britton Jr.  and Linda J. Reeves and her husband David M. Reeves, Grandchildren; Daniel M. Reeves and his wife Brooke and Wendy L. Anderson and her husband Michael Anderson, Great Grandchildren; Casey and Ryan Reeves and Brayden, Dean and Cody Anderson, Sisters; Carol Layre and her husband George, Margie Brady and Sandra Pratt and her husband Barry.

Jane was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for many years.  She attended Gloria Dei Church and after the passing of husband she met a very supportive group she referred to as my “Widow Friends”. She enjoyed their friendship and loved getting together with them. Jane loved to keep busy with work and activity to keep her mind sharp. She also enjoyed Hallmark movies, 'Taking the Reins' and 'Sailing Into Love' were two of her favorites. She loved trips to the casinos and most importantly, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jane's positive attitude and favorite saying “Don’t give it the power” will be missed by those that knew here best.

Relatives and friends will be received by her family on September 29, 2023 after 9:30 followed by her Memorial Service at 10:30 in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040.  Her interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials in Jane’s memory may be made to Gloria Dei Memorial Fund, 570 Welsh Rd., Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
