Janet Marchant passed away on December 21, 2023 at her home in Ann’s Choice
Senior Living Community in Warminster, PA. She was born in Philadelphia to Charles
M. Eichorn and Laura Gertrude Funk and she recently celebrated her 95 th birthday.
For 54 years, she was the beloved wife of Benjamin T. Marchant, Jr. who preceded her in death.
She attended West Chester University where she made lifelong friends she called the
‘West Chester Group’. Upon graduation, she became an elementary school teacher
until her own children arrived. Janet loved to be with people and had a friendly,
competitive spirit. She enjoyed entertaining and frequently organized gatherings that
ranged from evening volleyball in the neighborhood, monthly bridge tournaments,
Sunday afternoons by the pool, and fun-filled evenings playing her favorite card
games with friends.
Janet is survived by her son, Jeff, and his wife, Marilyn, of Chester Springs, and her
son-in-law, William Watson of Willow Grove. Janet’s daughter, Joanne Watson,
preceded her in death. She is also survived by 3 granddaughters, 10 great
grandchildren and 1 great, great granddaughter. Although her brother, Charles
Eichorn and his wife, Liz, are no longer living, Janet remained close to her nephews,
Chuck and David Eichorn, and niece, Joyce Holderer.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life for Janet Marchant on
Thursday, January 4, 2024 in the Chapel at Ann’s Choice, 30000 Ann's Choice Way,
Warminster, PA 18974. Visitation begins at 11am followed by a service at noon. Her
interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Ann’s Choice Benevolent Fund, 10000

Rd, Maple Glen, PA 19002.
