Joan A. Lindley

Joan A. Lindley (nee Weglinski), of Willow Grove, passed away surrounded by her loving children on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. She was 66 years old. Joan was the widow of her late husband, Douglas W. Lindley. They shared 38 wonderful years together and are reunited now in eternal rest. Born in Philadelphia, she was the youngest daughter of Ernest Weglinski and Marion Weglinski (nee Mahoney). 

Joan is survived by her children: Jess Lindley, Doug Lindley Jr. (Ann), Erica Bane (Mike), and Cait Mercer (Jordan). She is also survived by 5 beloved grandchildren: Cadence Lindley, Douglas Lindley III, Kylie Bane, Emma Bane, and Max Mercer. Finally, her brothers: Ernie Weglinski (Marie - who passed away in 2021) and Mike Weglinski (Terry). She will be remembered by many other relatives, friends, and neighbors. 

Joan will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to supporting her family and her willingness to always help those she loved, no matter the circumstances. Joan loved bringing her family together on trips to Disney, cooking for her family, sharing a bottle of wine, shopping - especially for a bargain, and taking any opportunity to spend time with her family. Most of all, Joan loved watching her grandchildren grow into the incredible kids they are today. All 5 of them will miss their Grandmom / ‘Mom’ / Gammy terribly. 

Relatives and friends will be received by her children on Sunday, August 25th, 2024 after 12:00 p.m. until her memorial service at 2 p.m. in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro.
