John (Jack) Redfern Braithwaite Jr., 88, of Willow Grove, formerly of Hatboro and Galeton PA, went to be with the Lord on May 27, 2021. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John and Effie (nee Maisenhelder) Braithwaite.
Jack is survived by his children, Laura DeHope (James), Ronnie Cochran (Rob), and John III (Kim); many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his siblings, Allen (Ann) and Doris Blair. He was predeceased by his siblings, Richard (the surviving Meryle) and Harriet Thomas (William).
Jack served his country in the US Army in Korea and Japan as part of the Military Entertainment Unit. A professional Musician and Baker, he performed with many bands singing country music. Additionally, Jack worked in bakeries in the Philadelphia and Galeton areas. He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking and camping from Alaska to the northeast USA. Jack enjoyed his many friends at Garden Spring Nursing Center and the Ambler Senior Center. He is loved and missed by his family and many friends.
A memorial service will be planned in the future. His interment will be held privately at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
