John Markoski Obituary

John William Markoski of Warminster, formally of Horsham, passed away on March 30, 2022.  He was 64 years old.  John was the beloved husband of Judith “Judy” K. Markoski with whom he would have celebrated their 40th Anniversary in May. He was born in Philadelphia a son of the late John Joseph and Barbara Ann Markoski.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his loving children; Kelly L. Prunkel and her husband John, and William J. Markoski, his granddaughter Kayleigh “Nugget” Prunkel and a grandchild on the way.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, Brother-in-Laws and Sister-in-Laws, as well as a brother, Paul Markoski and a large loving family.  In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Ann Markoski and his grandparents who raised him, William and Sarah Kennedy.

John loved spending time with his family and friends especially his nugget. He loved watching “his” Eagles, Phillies and Flyers and was also a huge Notre Dame and NASCAR fan. John was a jokester and loved to laugh and have a good time. He enjoyed golfing, skiing, camping, riding his motorcycle.  For many years John worked as a truck driver, and then became a school bus driver for a local district.  He was a volunteer firefighter & a paramedic for the Horsham Fire Company.  He was a founding member of the D.B.P.A.  He loved Amish country and enjoyed Shady Maple & Yoders smorgasbords.  He looked forward to moving to Lancaster with Judy to enjoy retirement.  

Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Friday, April 8, 2022 after 10:00 a.m. followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro, PA.  His interment will be private.  John wanted everyone to dress casually.  Per John’s request, in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital,http://www.stjude.org/donate/pm-step.html?frequency_selected=0&sc_icid=impactgiving-donate-bttn-top&amount=x
