Obituary

Joseph William Cartin, Sr. of Warminster, Pennsylvania, passed away, Friday, May 19, 2023 at his home surrounded by his close family. He was 76.

Joe was born September 6, 1946 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to James and Marie Cartin. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was a life-long member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters. 

Joe is survived by his wife of 54 years, Eileen (nee Gilmore), his eight children; Joe and his wife Sarah, Amy and her husband Walt, Christopher, John and his wife Jeanine, Thomas and his wife Denise, Monica and her husband Dan, Daniel and his wife Kristen, and Lindsay and her husband Dave; and 22 amazing grandchildren. Joe is also survived by his three sisters Mary Davis, Peggy Frey and Gerri Glatthorn.

Joe enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren whenever he could, fishing, listening to his vast collection of music and supporting the American Legion Post 798, where he served as the Commander for many years.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Friday, May 26 after 10 am, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11am in Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 605 Street Rd, Warminster, PA 18974. His interment will be held on Wednesday, May 31st at 10am in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
