Joseph "J" Wilga Obituary

Joseph “J” Wilga passed away on June 20, 2022 at the age of 49.  He was the beloved husband of Jennifer Wilga with whom he had shared over 23 years of marriage.  J was born in Philadelphia a son of John and Joanne Wilga.

In addition to his wife and parents J is survived by his; daughter, Gabrielle Wilga, son, Joseph Wilga, sister, Kimberly Murtha and her husband John, Brothers and Sisters-in-Law; James Holloran and his wife Nicole, Jason Holloran and his wife Amy, Jonathan Holloran and his wife Karen, his Father and Mother-in-Law; James and Joan Holloran, many loving nieces, nephew and a large loving family.

J was a devoted husband and father.  His greatest love was his family.  He was his wife’s best friend and biggest cheerleader.  He loved attending his son’s baseball games and was always beaming at his daughter’s many accomplishments.  He gave the best pep talks to his wife and children often quoting “Rocky.”   He was a fierce protector of his family and enjoyed spending time with them in Ocean City, and with his dogs Sugar and the late Utley.  His friends never passed up a great time around the fire -pit – “the Burns” were legendary.  J was an accomplished engineer who knew a lot about so many things.  His humor was legendary, and he was an epic story teller. J was known for his love of Diet Wawa Iced Tea, Holtz Cigars, and self-deprecating humor.  He loved Cooking and Grilling, video games and arcades, people watching and Steve’s Steaks.  He was larger than life but could still be found whistling to the theme song from the Andy Griffith show.  He was truly one of a kind.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday, June 27, 2022 after 9:30 a.m. in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N.
